Eligibility Criteria for Hungary Scholarship 2025

General Requirements:

Applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan/AJ&K.
Dual citizens are not eligible.
Applicants awaiting results can apply, provided their degrees/transcripts are submitted by August 1, 2025.

Specific Academic Eligibility:

For Bachelor’s & One-Tier Master’s Programs:
- Must have completed HSSC/Intermediate or equivalent before August 1, 2025.
For Master’s Programs:
- Must hold a 16-year Bachelor’s or equivalent degree by August 1, 2025.
For PhD Programs:
- Must possess a Master’s/MS/MPhil degree or equivalent by August 1, 2025.

Additional Requirements:

Complete application forms on both HEC and Hungary portals without leaving any field blank.
Attested educational documents (by IBCC/HEC) are required only after nomination.
For O/A Level students: Equivalence certificates from IBCC are mandatory.
Some Hungarian universities may require IELTS/TOEFL; others accept an English proficiency certificate from your institution.
Provide a medical certificate (issued after November 1, 2024) confirming satisfactory health, as specified on the Tempus Public Foundation portal.

Important Notes for Applicants:

Bond Submission:
- Selected applicants must submit a bond to HEC, committing to return to Pakistan and serve the country after completing their degree. Non-compliance may result in penalties.
Accreditation for Professional Degrees:
- Applicants for professional programs (e.g., Medicine, Engineering) must confirm accreditation from relevant councils like PMDC, PEC, PNC, etc.
- Engineering programs at University of Debrecen and Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) are recognized by PEC.
HAT/USAT Test:
- Minimum score: 50%.
- Validity: HAT (after January 15, 2023) or USAT (after January 15, 2024).
- Register at https://etc.hec.gov.pk if you haven’t taken the test.

Non-Eligibility:

Applicants with dual citizenship.
Misrepresentation of information.
Applicants born after August 31, 2007 (minimum age: 18 years by August 31, 2025).
